Three CDs that celebrate the first quarter century of CdM contain 45 unpublished cuts. It is therefore not a collection of pieces that have already been published in the past. No. It is a new album, a gift to the label's fans and admirers and to neophytes, with two basic focuses. The first disc is composed of a selection of unpublished works: “We asked all of the artists who had worked with us previously to send us new material. From that material, we chose the sixteen cuts finally included on the CD”, explains Ramón Guiral, President/C.E.O. “Our goal with the other two CDs was to promote new values with philosophies and styles similar to those of Café del Mar. We made a request via the Internet to unknown artists all over the word to send us their recordings, as long as they were unpublished. Of those received, we made a first cut of some eighty recordings. We put them on the Internet for three months for fans to listen to and vote on. We have picked up through our web 82.372 votes of 37 different countries. Based on the results of the vote, we came up with the tracklisting for cd´s 2 and 3. by www.cafedelmarmusic.com
